Junior IT PM - Hybrid Role with Mentorship & Growth

Junior IT Project Manager Hybrid | Northampton, MA Our client is seeking a Junior IT Project Manager to support software implementation and client delivery projects in a hybrid role based in Northampton, MA. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their project management career—such as a Project Coordinator, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or implementation professional—who is ready to grow into a full Project Manager role. Working alongside a senior Project Manager, this person will help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward while building toward independent ownership of client‑facing IT projects. Key Responsibilities Maintain project plans, timelines, status reports, and scope documentation Track milestones, risks, issues, and action items Support project delivery from kickoff through implementation and handoff Coordinate communication between clients, internal teams, and technical resources Help manage project scope, schedules, and change requests Prepare meeting notes, status updates, and project documentation Support project closeout and knowledge transfer activities Assist with continuous improvement of project delivery processes Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in IT consulting, software implementation, business systems analysis, or a related environment 1–2 years of project coordination, project management, or equivalent experience supporting project delivery Experience working on software implementation, SaaS, or other IT‑related projects Strong organizational, communication, and follow‑through skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline‑driven environment Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira is a plus PMP certification in progress or planned — our client supports and encourages the path to PMP Ideal Backgrounds May Include Junior IT Project Manager Business Analyst Systems Analyst Software Implementation Analyst Client Delivery Coordinator Why This Role This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a long‑term career in project management within a supportive, team‑oriented environment.
