Position Summary Optum NV is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. This employed practice position, based at Southwest Medical, involves managing an adult panel of patients Monday through Friday, collaborating with other physicians in teams, and providing compassionate, effective patient care in a systems‑based practice environment. Key Responsibilities Work with other physicians in teams while managing your own patient panel Monday‑Friday. Provide care to an adult panel of all ages, including geriatrics and some older adolescents, with opportunities to customize interest areas. Utilize an electronic medical record environment and benefit from full‑time management staff, digital radiology, and onsite laboratory services at 14 clinic locations throughout the Las Vegas area. Support a systems‑based practice by demonstrating awareness of and responsiveness to the larger health‑care context and calling on system resources to provide optimal value care. Required Qualifications Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency training, board certified or board eligible; ability to obtain a Nevada medical license, DEA, and pharmacy license. Strong medical knowledge and application of biomedical, clinical, epidemiological, and social behavioral sciences to patient care. Interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective information exchange and collaboration with patients, families, and health professionals. Proficiency with electronic medical records and other computer systems required for clinical practice. Commitment to practice‑based learning and improvement, including investigation, evaluation, and assimilation of scientific evidence to enhance patient care. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $226,000 to $366,000 annually (full‑time). Sign‑on bonus of $100,000 and additional bonus plan. Comprehensive fringe benefits: medical, dental, and life insurance; STD/LTD; professional liability; matching 401K; relocation costs; 160 hours paid time off; one week paid continuing medical education with a $4,500 allowance; nine paid holidays.
