Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Self-Contained Special Education Teacher at a K-12 school setting in the Irving, TX area. This exciting opportunity begins ASAP and extends through May 26, 2027, with full-time hours. Work with a diverse group of learners while making a positive impact every day.
Ideal candidates bring knowledge, passion, and a collaborative spirit, ready to provide tailored instruction and foster student growth. If you have experience or a strong interest in working with students with autism, your background will be highly valued. You’ll guide academic development, monitor student progress, and ensure IEPs are delivered with fidelity.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Valid Texas Special Education EC-12 certification
- General Education Content certification (such as Generalist EC-6th)
- Experience with self-contained classrooms; autism support preferred
- Strong command of instructional planning, IEP implementation, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Flexibility to support students across K-12 grade levels
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction in self-contained settings
- Implement individualized education plans and monitor student progress
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for a range of abilities and learning styles
- Foster inclusive, supportive classroom environments
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, staff, and families
