Route Accountant

:

The Route Accountant is responsible for assisting the distribution group with the management of customer payments and inventory control. Work hour are a mix of 8 hour shifts beginning at either 8AM or 10AM, Monday through Friday.

• Prepare weekly S3 commission reports
• Monitor and publish inventory compliance of H&O divisions
• Monitor inventory loss for H&O divisions
• Prepare quarterly reports
• Prepare quarterly management bonus data sheet
• Compile ticket audit data and prepare reports
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly exception reports monitoring driver benchmarks such as percentage of free product, missing tickets, product shortages, cash/checks received, etc.
• Count route cash receipts, prepare and make bank deposit
• Support route accounting staff in performance of their duties
• Assist H&O operations management in maintaining licenses for fleet vehicles, included heavy use tax on tankers
• Assist H&O operations management in preparation of IFTA and IRP paperwork
• Other duties as required.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Position additionally requires excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze financial data and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of Excel, MS Office and Accounting Software is required. Preference will be given to candidates with SAP experience
