Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to work with our client. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide treatment and support to patients. This role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, manage pain, and regain independence through prescribed therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans and corrective exercise programs as directed by a Physical Therapist
• Administer therapies such as therapeutic exercise, gait training, massage, traction, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, and hydrotherapy
• Instruct patients on the proper use of medical equipment, including wheelchairs, crutches, braces, and prosthetic devices
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, and daily functional activities
• Monitor patient progress, observe responses to treatment, and report findings to the Physical Therapist
• Fit, adjust, and train patients on orthopedic braces and assistive devices such as walkers and canes
• Collaborate with physical therapy staff and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Communicate effectively with clinic staff and departments to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (CAPTE accredited)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant within the last 2 years
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license or APTA-recognized certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to motivate and guide patients through rehabilitation programs
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient-centered care
