Senior Associate, Quality Engineer (Level 2) – ContractOverview We are seeking a Senior Associate, Quality Engineer (Level 2) to support moderately complex projects within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. This contract role operates under moderate supervision while also requiring independent judgment and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will contribute directly to maintaining product quality, ensuring compliance with engineering and customer specifications, and driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Applying engineering expertise to communicate effectively between cross-functional teams and customer counterparts to validate hardware compliance Identifying, managing, and communicating deviations and nonconformances at multiple organizational levels Understanding and communicating core aerospace manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and non‑destructive testing, and how they apply to hardware production Applying modern quality engineering principles, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, to routine manufacturing and aerospace operations Interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, customer quality requirements, and internal quality standards to ensure full compliance Participating in the review, analysis, and disposition of nonconforming materials and products Interfacing with the Material Review Board (MRB) to provide technical justifications when nonconformance to agreed specifications is identified Supporting continuous improvement efforts that help achieve operational targets impacting departmental performance Work Environment & Collaboration This position involves frequent communication with internal teams and external partners, including customers and vendors. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams, contributing to a multi‑functional environment focused on quality assurance, compliance, and efficiency.
