Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative nursing care as a circulating or scrub RN during ENT (airways, neck flaps, soft tissue cases), neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), or robotic-assisted surgical oncology procedures; maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR teammates; manage instruments, implants, and specialized equipment; ensure correct counts and specimen handling.
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, respond to changing conditions, position and drape patients, and support airway management as needed.
- Prepare and assist with robotic and non-robotic cases; assist with room turnover, instrument processing, and documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards; participate in post-anesthesia care handoffs and ensure appropriate documentation.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Kansas or a Compact license
- AHA BLS certification
- Proficiency in ENT, neuro, or surgical oncology OR cases; Level I trauma experience preferred
- Ability to work nights and travel for assignment; floating to all OR areas as needed
- Credentialing completed at least 1 week prior to start
- Completion of a nursing program with current licensure; no new graduates accepted for this assignment
