Job Title Travel RN - Labor and Delivery Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice. Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect to appropriate resources. Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation. Required Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license. Current certification in one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM). Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only). Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only). Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related perinatal nursing specialty. Preferred Experience / Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program or recent practice in a perinatal setting preferred. Experience managing contingencies in complex clinical nursing environments.
