Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule of 3 shifts of 12 hours each, with flexibility to work both day and night shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and expertise in obstetric care, including ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum nursing. The position involves direct patient care in a dynamic environment with a focus on high-quality care for both mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for women during childbirth in a supportive environment.
• Monitor and assess the health status of the mother and newborn through all stages of labor.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment as needed for patient monitoring and care.
• Participate in education and support of families regarding childbirth and newborn care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required.
• Experience with Epic / Stork electronic health record system is essential.
• Ability to float to Maternity, Pediatric, or any adult floor as necessary.
