Care Partner, 9N Surgical Stepdown Night Shift 06:45-19:15

Job Summary Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Organization 9N Surgical Stepdown 20 Schedule Full‑Time Night Shift – 6:45 pm to 7:15 am (three 12‑hour shifts per week) Shifts rotate throughout the week Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs All employees attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following: Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician. Preferred Qualifications One year of previous experience in a hospital setting Flexible availability Professionalism and reliability Excellent communication and teamwork skills High emotional intelligence Responsibilities Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist with day‑to‑day delivery of patient care. Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards. Serve as a liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs. Support unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Technical Competencies (Novice) Clinical Competencies – competence with interventions such as point‑of‑care testing and vital signs. Care Partner Patient Documentation – independently work with clinical applications for patient documentation. Environment of Care – set up and maintain patient rooms, supplies, and equipment; train and educate peers. Planning & Organizing – anticipate resource needs, define tasks, schedule activities, and prepare status reports. Core Accountabilities Organizational Impact – perform routine tasks that may impact team performance with occasional guidance. Problem Solving – utilize discretion and research to solve routine problems. Breadth of Knowledge – apply knowledge of standards, processes, and procedures relevant to the job.
