About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of advancing justice and equity for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian communities. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a clear and compelling strategic plan, capable of inspiring and aligning diverse stakeholders. This role requires a strong commitment to social justice, including experience in community organizing and policy advocacy, and a proven track record of advancing racial equity. The Executive Director will be responsible for the organization's success, overseeing programmatic, operational, and fiscal leadership, and ensuring the delivery of its mission. They must be adept at building and managing a high-performing team, cultivating external relationships, and leading the organization in its efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable society. Key attributes for the Executive Director include effective management, excellent communication, and a collaborative leadership style. The ideal candidate will have a legal background, be resilient, and adaptable, and have a deep understanding of the dynamics of social justice movement organizations. They should be dedicated to centering the most marginalized communities in their work and be committed to nurturing a workplace culture that embraces inclusion and belonging. The role also involves leading the organization's commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging internally, and strengthening collaboration with other progressive organizations. The Executive Director will serve as the chief spokesperson, heightening the organization's visibility and presence, and will be expected to work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization's financial sustainability and growth.
