Required License/Registration/Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification thru either PTCB or ExCPT with CPhT designation and Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire or on day one if previously registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy as a technician.

Physical Requirements: This position may require sitting at a computer workstation and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens. May involve prolonged sitting or standing (often for 812 hour shifts), frequent walking, bending, and reaching. Must also be able to reach above or below waist level. Key requirements include having fine motor skills for handling small medication items, and clear communication/vision for dispensing and filling of medications.

Shift: Primarily covering shifts as needed including weekend shifts at the Community Pharmacy and Ryan White Services locations. Must be available to work during operating hours and days of operation which are subject to change based on location of assignment. Typical shifts are four to ten hour shifts and may cover day shifts and early/late evenings depending on location scheduled. May be required to work on some holidays which currently are being rotated by Ambulatory Pharmacy Services staff. Some weekend shifts are an expected part of the assignment which are typically during the hours of 8am-5pm. Shifts may be at KY Clinic Pharmacy, Beaumont Clinic Pharmacy, and Fountain Court Pharmacist Care Clinic in the Lexington, KY area.

Job Summary: This position provides patient care in a fast-paced community pharmacy setting across multiple Lexington, KY locations, including KY Clinic Pharmacy, Bluegrass Clinic Pharmacy at the Beaumont Center location, and the Fountain Court Pharmacist Care Team. Primary duties for the certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) include filling and distributing prescriptions in a busy retail-based setting. Certified Pharmacy Technicians may be allowed to complete other specialized duties as applicable by KY Board of Pharmacy law. These positions also support specialized programs including the KentuckyAIDSDrug Assistance Program, Ryan White Part C, Pharmacy Partners, and Mail Order services; and assist in our mission to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality customer service. The successful Pharmacy Senior Technician I will be reliable, punctual, works well within a team, and possesses exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skills. The ability and desire to work and grow in a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing field within a dynamic and cutting-edge pharmacy is essential for individuals in this position. This role requires flexible shift coverage including weekend and may include some holiday rotations during operating hours which may vary by location.

The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Must be self-motivated and be able to stay on task. Must be reliable and punctual. Creates and maintains cultures where all staff delivers friendly, patient centered care.

Preferred Education/Experience: Retail and/or Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required. Hired candidate must maintain licensure as CPhT from PTCB/ExCPT during employment in this position. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.
