Staff Accountant

Salary: USD30 - USD35 per hour A growing FinTech company in Santa Monica is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual will support month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger activities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience with ERP systems. NetSuite experience is highly preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries. Perform bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close. Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Support AP, AR, and cash management functions. Prepare audit schedules and assist with external audits. Analyze financial data and research accounting variances. Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc projects. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work onsite in Santa Monica. #J-18808-Ljbffr
