Portfolio Analyst

Portfolio AnalystAltius Search Group is recruiting for a growing financial services company seeking a Portfolio Analyst to evaluate portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and support sound credit and portfolio management decisions.This position will analyze the quality, performance, and risk characteristics of the company's financial portfolio. The Portfolio Analyst will monitor key trends, assess borrower performance, and collaborate with multiple departments to develop strategies that protect portfolio assets and support responsible growth.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze portfolio performance, including delinquency levels, defaults, loss trends, concentrations, and exposure limitsIdentify early warning indicators and areas of emerging credit or operational riskReview financial statements, payment history, and borrower performance to evaluate ongoing creditworthinessRecommend changes to risk ratings based on financial performance and other relevant factorsDevelop and support action plans designed to reduce portfolio risk and improve performanceProduce recurring portfolio reports, trend analyses, and management-level presentationsCollaborate with Credit, Sales, Operations, and Asset Management on portfolio strategy and risk-mitigation initiativesProvide analysis and supporting information for credit committee discussionsEvaluate the effectiveness of existing credit policies, scorecards, and decisioning processesMaintain accurate records and supporting documentation consistent with internal policies and audit requirementsAssist with special projects involving portfolio analytics, financial modeling, and strategic planningQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related disciplineAt least three years of experience in portfolio analysis, credit analysis, credit risk, operational risk, or a related financial services roleStrong financial statement analysis and credit assessment capabilitiesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience developing financial modelsAbility to interpret complex data and clearly communicate findings and risk considerationsExperience working with risk-rating methodologies and portfolio performance metricsBackground in data analytics, including regression analysis or similar statistical techniquesPrevious experience in equipment leasing, commercial lending, or another asset-based finance environmentFamiliarity with business development functions and commercial decision-makingExperience with credit scorecards or automated decisioning tools is preferredProfessional AttributesAnalytical and intellectually curiousStrategic and forward-lookingCreative in approaching complex business and risk-related challengesStrong written and verbal communication skillsEffective at collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departmentsHighly accountable, organized, and attentive to detailCapable of balancing portfolio protection with business growth objectivesCompensationBase salary range: $65,000–$85,000Additional benefits and compensation details will be discussed during the interview process
