Low Voltage Power Distribution Electrical Engineer

Job Description Parsons is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role you will oversee the production of design deliverables for exciting and complex engineering projects. What You'll Be Doing Function as discipline lead engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group. Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering project requiring a large‑scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment. Lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process. Mentor junior engineers and designers. Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses. Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the professional engineering seal and signature when required by statute or contract. Prepare material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions; review supplier data; witness shop tests, assist with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities. Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations. Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies. Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties. Recommend and prepare technical papers. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Required Skills You'll Bring 10+ years of related electrical engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi‑use buildings BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field) Working knowledge of NFPA 70 Good communication skills; interact with the client The ability to lead an electrical engineering team in the execution of complex infrastructure projects Experience producing design documents for industrial and commercial facilities including drawings and specifications Experience producing calculations required for electrical distribution designs including load analysis, short‑circuit calculations, voltage‑drop calculations, arc flash calculations, coordination studies, lightning protection design analysis, ground resistance models PE registration is required Desired Skills You'll Bring Design‑build experience is a plus Security Clearance Requirement None Salary Range $88,400.00 - $154,700.00 Benefits We value our employees and want our employees to take care of their overall wellbeing, which is why we offer best‑in‑class benefits such as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays to fit your busy lifestyle!
