Part Time General Service Technician

AAA Car Care is the largest chain of AAA club‑owned repair facilities in the USA, providing full range of automotive repair and maintenance services to AAA members and non‑members. Responsibilities General Service Technicians complete routine scheduled maintenance service on automobiles and trucks, including oil changes, tire replacement & repairs, and general vehicle maintenance. They also: Drive vehicles into service bays, prepare them for and complete digital vehicle inspections Test drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to customers after necessary repairs and maintenance are completed Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience Learn from Technician A, B, and C colleagues to advance their career Compensation & Benefits Pay rates starting at $27,000 annual (rate based on experience) with annual bonus eligibility. Qualifications Required: High School diploma, GED or technical school certification Valid driver’s license Mechanical aptitude Knowledgeable about automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources Ability to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance on automobile and truck vehicles Understanding and consistent demonstration of proper use of equipment and tools, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores Preferred: G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair State inspection certificate, where applicable AC 609 Certification Work Environment May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment. Work involves standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting, and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80pounds). Must have own tools appropriate for skill level. Must work in heat; facilities may lack air conditioning but fans are present. Must be able to work on feet in a concrete facility for entire shift.
