Coordinator, Contract Logistics (1st Shift) - City of Industry CA

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role is responsible for internal order processing, production line set‑ups, material handling, and ensuring on‑time delivery and quality of corrugation materials. Responsibilities Determine production line set‑ups for all workstations, prepare necessary paperwork such as internal orders and receivers (corrugate inbound). Audit, count and inspect product while staging units (cases, materials from storage). Assign material handlers to pick internal orders and put away final SKUs using shipping, receiving, and replenishment best practices. Ensure all corrugation materials are replenished at workstations. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, and attachments for forks, push/pull, and clamp. Coordinate removal of cardboard from production lines to baler area or cardboard roll‑off location. Receive corrugation materials, verify quantities per BOL, and put away corrugation in designated locations. Determine line balance and identify process bottlenecks. Meet customer requirements based on MAI (Material Assembly Instructions). Report daily results (actual vs. target) and review job due dates to identify overtime needed. Key Results On‑time delivery. Meet customer requirements. Maintain unit per hour (UPH). Qualifications High school diploma or 2–3 years in a similar role. Experience with line set‑up, line balance, tack time, and some Lean Six Sigma exposure (Yellow/Green Belt). Proficiency with Excel, Word, data entry; FL Certified.
