RN - Clinical Registered Nurse Supervisor - Cardiovascular

Responsibilities Provide on‑site clinical leadership overseeing nursing practice at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and Geisinger Community Medical Center. Oversee medication administration and complex care coordination across hospital‑based Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Vascular Surgery outpatient clinics. Work with the Operations Manager/Director to provide administrative leadership assistance. Be responsible for day‑to‑day operational activities, human resources management, patient safety, performance improvement, and all regulatory requirements of the assigned area. Function approximately 80% administrative and 20% clinical capacity. Manage nursing support staff, maintain staffing levels and mix, conduct annual staff patient safety education, monitor incidents, serious and sentinel events, and ensure all events are reported. Assist the Operations Manager and Director with financial performance, manpower needs, recruitment, and performance management activities for non‑physician staff. Assist in decisions regarding equipment and long‑term planning for technology. Qualifications Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required). Minimum of 2 years RN work experience. Basic Life Support Certification. Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania), RN_State of Pennsylvania. Previous experience in cardiovascular care preferred.
