Job Details Job Location: Bitters - 13311 San Pedro Ave - San Antonio, TX 78216 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $65,000.00 Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Job Category: Management Position Summary The Manager – Outreach and Engagement leads a team of professionals focused on establishing relationships with local employers, organizations, and community members to create a pipeline of career and externship opportunities for program participants and graduates. The role also promotes Goodwill services to increase enrollment in Goodwill programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Upholds and models Goodwill's mission, core values, and servant leadership philosophy. Plan, organize, and conduct effective employer engagement activities to develop a pipeline of prospective employers in targeted industries. Establish and nurture long‑term relationships with local employers, engaging them in strategies ranging from assessing employment needs and skill requirements to developing training curricula, participating in career exploration activities, providing externship and on‑the‑job training opportunities, and hiring Goodwill participants. Review workforce and labor market information, stay informed of trends, and educate the Mission Team on how they may affect hiring opportunities. Identify career openings in targeted industries and communicate opportunities to program managers and career services staff. Maintain a predetermined quota of monthly employer contacts, externship sites, and job openings based on program participants. Work with the GCA Extern Coordinator to secure worksite agreements for externship placements and keep agreements current. Enter employer contacts and job openings data into relevant systems. Collaborate with Program Managers to determine employment strategies and match participants’ strengths to job requirements. Organize employer job fairs, represent the agency at public speaking events, community resource fairs, career fairs, and leadership meetings, and lead quarterly Industry Alliance Council meetings. Confer with employers to nurture relationships and address issues proactively. Effectively lead the Community Relations team: hire, train, coach, implement servant leadership principles, monitor performance, and coordinate HR actions. Conduct outreach efforts promoting Goodwill services to increase enrollment in programs. Prepare and deliver presentations to community organizations to raise awareness of Goodwill’s mission, programs, and services. Build and manage a broad and diverse referral partnership network. Manage grassroots outreach efforts to meet program enrollment goals. Identify and attend community events, engage prospective clients, and facilitate their enrollment in Goodwill services. Measure success of outreach efforts in terms of activities performed and outcomes achieved. Other duties may be assigned by Unit Leadership to accommodate business needs and management objectives. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree (equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of education). Five (5) years of experience in the non‑profit sector, social services, or workforce development with at‑risk populations. Experience managing and leading people and teams. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and oral, written, and presentation skills, including intermediate proficiency with MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email. Must be able to establish professional relationships and collaborate with multiple constituencies to achieve mission goals. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage and be able to travel as needed for work.
