Field Service Support Engineer

Salary: $55,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a candidate with a bachelors degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
• You should bring 1–4 years of experience in technical support, field services, or system deployment roles.
• You need basic to intermediate knowledge of hardware, operating systems, networking, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail are important.
• Relevant technical and rig safety-related certifications are an advantage.
• A clean driving record is required.
• You must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• You should be located in the Greater Houston area.
• You must be willing to travel 25% of the time and support day, night, and overnight shifts.
• You should be open to supporting operations outside standard working hours and traveling to client sites or remote locations in the USA and internationally.

• We prepare, configure, and test field equipment, including rig machines and related systems.
• We install and set up the required applications and software for deployment.
• We assemble rig kits with all necessary components, accessories, shipping materials, and shipping documentation.
• We support deployment work, including installation and commissioning at onshore, offshore, and remote rig locations.
• We handle, store, and transport field equipment properly.
• We ensure systems are prepared and delivered according to defined standards and timelines.
• We coordinate with ICT teams on system build, configuration, and compliance needs.
• We take part in system testing, validation, and readiness checks before deployment.
• We troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and data feed issues.
• We provide technical support to internal teams and assist real-time operations with data acquisition systems and rig networks.
• We carry out routine maintenance of rig machines, including updates and health checks.
• We keep accurate records of deployments, configurations, assets, and support activity.
• We help manage inventory and coordinate logistics, including movement of field equipment.
• We participate in deployment handovers and maintain clear documentation and communication.
• We follow standard operating procedures and established workflows.
• We escalate issues to senior team members or the Team Lead when needed.
• We support global deployment activities and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

In this role, you will play an important part in the preparation, deployment, and maintenance of field systems used in rig operations, combining hands-on hardware, software, and data acquisition support to help us deliver reliable service to our clients. You will work closely with internal teams across Operations and ICT, contributing to system readiness, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing operational support in line with our standards and processes.
