Travel Speech Language Pathologist

American Traveler seeks a Speech Pathologist with an active SLP license and 1+ year of experience for a rehab/ortho hospital setting. Requirements Master's Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in a medical or clinic setting Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required if applicable Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association that will not expire prior to start ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Manual dexterity for operating equipment and frequent computer use Critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record if driving is required for the role Responsibilities Hospital-based Physical Therapy Rehab - Ortho unit Provides services to patients with speech and language disorders Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 4 days per week 32 hours per week Uses Epic for charting Participate in developing speech therapy plans of care for patients Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate functioning and communication ability Communicate with physicians before starting care and as needed throughout treatment Implement individualized care plans Provide education and instruction to team members, patients, and families Document care accurately and timely to maintain patient medical records Returning employees must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment First-time travelers may be considered for this role Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
