Are you skilled in corporate accounting principles and ready to be a key part of the accounting team in a thriving entertainment company? If so, we are looking for an outgoing accounting clerk to join our cast! WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Provide support to the accounting department, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures Complete auditing tasks Process accounts payables and/or accounts receivables as required Maintain, verify, and update numerous accounting ledgers Assist with regular bank and credit card reconciliations Prepare and deliver accounting reports as directedKeep all sensitive company information confidential Perform general office support such as filing and other administrative tasks Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work-related duties Various data-entry tasks Assess and research accounting issues, reporting to staff accountant to identify solutions Perform other accounting related duties and tasks as assigned WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements Maintain a high-level of focus and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills, both orally and written Maintain a positive and respectful work atmosphere Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in order to meet all applicable deadlines Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks Desktop Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field preferred 2+ years of proven accounting experience, preferable in AP/AR in a corporate environment Proven experience with QuickBooks Desktop High-level of competency with Excel spreadsheets, intermediate level and aboveonly Proficiency with financial software Experience with corporate and business taxes a plus Experience assisting with corporate tax returns and financial reporting ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Work environment: Fast-paced, in-person office setting Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours a day May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone Light to moderate lifting may be required, up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required due to viewing computer terminals and company data Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions This job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
