A well-established Madison law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Paralegal to join its team. This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to work closely with an experienced estate planning attorney on substantive estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related correspondence
• Assist with probate and estate administration matters from intake through completion
• Conduct legal and factual research and review documents for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other third parties
• Manage deadlines, maintain files, track ongoing matters, and support attorneys with day-to-day estate planning and probate work

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of estate planning experience (5+ years preferred)
• Experience handling probate and estate administration matters
• Strong drafting experience with estate planning documents
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Paralegal certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
• Professional, client-focused, and team-oriented approach to work
