Senior Technical Business Analyst

Business Analyst

Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the operational management, enhancement, and continuous improvement of an enterprise GIS platform environment. This individual will serve as a key liaison between technology and business teams, driving incident resolution, backlog prioritization, testing coordination, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead incident intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking to ensure timely issue management.
• Manage and monitor security vulnerabilities, including remediation efforts related to CVEs and other identified risks.
• Own and maintain the Jira backlog, including epics, user stories, defects, and sprint priorities in collaboration with product and technology stakeholders.
• Coordinate testing activities across business and technical teams to support releases and platform enhancements.
• Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes and team effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver status updates, risk assessments, and progress reporting for leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on experience managing backlogs, user stories, defects, and priorities within Jira.
• Experience supporting GIS platforms or other enterprise-scale technology platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or educational background in GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Jira administration and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Scrum certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar.
