Yes Job Description Summary Job Description Summary: Performs a variety of tasks related to maintaining the University’sbuildings, facilities, and grounds. Hours for this position areMonday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some weekendrotation. (Weekend rotations are primarily during the academicyear.) Essential Duties Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings andgrounds; empties trash receptacles. May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and performgeneral cleaning of rooms; may clean windows. May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; mayclean and sanitize restrooms. May mow, trim, and rake grounds; may remove shrubs andtrees. May sow grass and renovate turf areas; may apply herbicides tolawn. May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies. May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dishroom orpot and pan area. Minimum Qualifications Requires a high school diploma or GED. No experience required. May require driver's license. This position requires the ability to successfully pass aPost-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical.
