Marine Technician

Job Description

The Marine Technician plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing marine engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and other critical equipment across multiple sites. Working within a small team, this position requires reliability, strong technical skills, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics. Regular travel is expected, and the role reports directly to the Marine Superintendent, offering opportunities for career growth into supervisory or management positions.

Responsibilities

Perform engine maintenance and repairs to ensure operational efficiency
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems on marine vessels
Service and repair hydraulic systems to maintain functionality
Conduct equipment repairs and preventive maintenance routines
Diagnose technical issues to recommend effective solutions
Collaborate within a small team of 3-5 members
Travel regularly between multiple operational sites

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience in marine technology

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in marine engine repair
Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting
Experience maintaining hydraulic systems
Strong preventive maintenance skills
Effective problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with technical documentation
Clear communication skills
Commitment to safety compliance
