Commercial Loan Operations Assistant

Commercial Banking Solutions Administrative ManagerThe associate is responsible for managing one or more Senior Commercial Banking Solutions Assistants, quality of loan files, documentation, coordination and accuracy of loan closings, managing funding of participations and syndications, overseeing preparation of loan documents and negotiation thereof. The Commercial Banking Solutions Administrative Manager takes a lead role in daily loan functions and may be asked to make independent judgments and decisions. Will manage Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, and Asset Based Lending portfolios.What You'll DoManage loan closings, as follows:Order appraisal bids, appraisals and provide Appraisal Department with subject property informationCoordinate closing calls to review loan documents with Borrower's and Lender's counselCarefully review draft of all loan documents with loan officer, then consult with Lender counsel on changesEnsure loan approval corresponds to loan documentsReview insurance requirements prior to closing and ensure changes as neededReview all environmental reports, prepare environmental checklist and coordinate review of environmental reports when necessaryCoordinate all loan documents for booking on loan bank systemEnsure loan is properly booked after closingOngoing portfolio maintenance/monitoring, as follows:Maintain ongoing insurance requirements for all properties in the CRE portfolioAssist with opening/closing of accounts, online banking, wire transfers and other treasury management products/servicesRegularly communicate directly with clients on banking issues/concerns/questionsMaintain pipeline data for senior management and loan officersProvide portfolio data to senior management and loan officersClear exception by working with counsel and loan operationsAssist with buying and selling of participations and the flow of documents between participating banksOther duties, as follows:Manage at least one Senior Commercial Banking Solutions AssistantOther duties as assignedRequirements For Success4 years' college degreeMinimum of 8 years of experience in a financial organization performing similar dutiesExcellent knowledge of loansExcellent understanding of loan documentsAbility to coordinate several loan closings at onceExcellent telephone and customer service skillsAbility to manage and lead othersAbility to operate standard office equipment; good keyboarding and computer skillsKnowledge of mainframe (navigator) and Laser ProProficient in Microsoft Office programsDetail orientedParticipate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.Conditions of EmploymentMust be able to pass a criminal background & credit checkFLSA: ExemptSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position manages employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees.WORK ENVIRONMENT Location in UCB FootprintPOSITION TYPE This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.TRAVEL This position requires less than 5% travel.OTHER We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
