Join our team as a Steward Supervisor at our prestigious hotel! This is your opportunity to showcase your supervisory skills and ensure the seamless operation of our stewarding department. As a Steward Supervisor, you'll lead a team of dedicated stewards, overseeing the cleanliness of our kitchen and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. From managing inventory and coordinating schedules to training and motivating the team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. About Our Property The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center's name reflects the contributions of the extraordinary entrepreneur, Andrew Higgins, who designed and built over 20,000 boats in New Orleans that were used in every major amphibious assault of World War II. Conveniently located directly across the street from The National WWII Museum, the hotel offers 230 era-inspired guest rooms and specialty suites, premium amenities, full-service restaurant, lounge, and a rooftop bar, as well as a second-floor conference center with more than 18,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Responsibilities Supervise staff and set up and run breakdown stations Maintain control of china, glassware, and silver between all food and beverage departments, sort, properly cleaned and returned to storage Maintain sanitary kitchen and dish room Assist in training new stewarding staff Supervise and/or conduct inventory of glassware and supplies Perform in capacity of any position supervised Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards Attend all mandatory meetings Other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications Previous experience as a Steward Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English mandatory Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Benefits Davidson Hospitality Group is an award-winning, full-service hospitality management company overseeing hotels, restaurants, dining and entertainment venues across the US.
