Purchasing Intern

Purchasing InternAs a Purchasing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in procurement processes with a strong focus on vendor selection, contract and agreement support, and project-based initiatives. You will assist in maintaining compliance with purchasing policies while supporting strategic sourcing activities.Key Responsibilities:Vendor Selection & ManagementAssist in preparing and analyzing RFPs/RFQs for vendor evaluationMaintain vendor records and support onboarding processesParticipate in meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholdersContracts & Agreement SupportOrganize and maintain contract files and procurement documentationTrack and review purchase orders, leases, and agreementsCollaborate with Legal and Finance teams to ensure complianceProject SupportContribute to defined procurement initiatives and present findingsTrack, report, and analyze cost savings and spend data using ExcelSupport cross-functional projects and resolve procurement issuesQualifications:Currently enrolled in college, majoring in Business, Finance, or related fieldCompleted sophomore year with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time basisSkills & Abilities:Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ERP familiarity.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsDetail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentTeam player with a proactive approach and willingness to learnCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSStarting hourly range for this position: $22.00 - $24.00 depending on your academic year.Paid Holidays.Earn PTO and sick leave401(K) matchDental and medical insuranceAccount ManagerAs an account manager, you will be responsible for effectively creating new business relationships through qualifying prospective clients throughout various industries.Day to day responsibilities will include:Making cold calls and/or email to reaching out to prospectsPresent, promote, and close new business using solid solutions to existing and prospective customersResearch prospects through various sourcesDeveloping strategies and setting quotasNetworking through tradeshows, groups, and local eventsDevelop cross-referrals through current customersConduct facility tours and off-site meetingsNegotiate pricing and unique/customized quote developmentExpand new and existing relationships finding opportunities to expand services/productsBuilding long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experienceMaintaining a database of contact informationRequirements:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.Additional education or experience (B2B experience) may be preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills.The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities.Strong time management skills.Computer skills, especially MS Office and CRM software.Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.Starting salary range for this position: $60,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience)Paid Holidays.Earn PTO and sick leave401(K) matchDental and medical insurance
