This position is also responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate and monitor equipment in an efficient manner and replenish materials as needed.Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated area.Set up machinery ensuring all production materials are available.Visually inspect production run and document results.Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties.Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.Complete required paperwork as directed.Analyze production line to identify areas for continuous improvement.Responsible for the prevention of widespread breakdown in production.Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.Watch for potential problems on the production line.Maintain awareness of the schedule and materials needed for the efficient operation of equipment.Maintain cleanliness of production area and keep all work areas clean through good housekeeping to include but not limited to: sweeping and mopping when necessary, recycling/destroying defective finished goods, proper shut off procedures for equipment at end of day.Operate forklifts in a safe manner.Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipmentJOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to operate manufacturing equipment.Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product.Hearing and eyesight, with or without correction, sufficient to perform essential functions of the job.Must be able to work independently.Must be detail oriented, dependable, and responsible.Adaptability – Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.Communication – Ability to effectively, clearly and concisely communicate verbally to both co-workers and customers.Decision Making – Display willingness to make critical decisions while following company practices.Delegation – Ability to delegate work, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities.Enthusiasm – Ability to bring energy to the day to day as well as long-term tasks and plans.Judgment – Display willingness to make timely decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.Leadership – Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well; accept feedback.Planning & Organizing – Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.Reliability – Demonstrate regular attendance and availability to staff and management.Quality Management – Demonstrate commitment to improve and promote quality in all operating areas.Safety & Security – Promote and personally observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.Honesty, Integrity, Trust & Respect – Must be seen as truthful and credible and exhibit respectful behavior in all actions representing the company.RequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.1-2 years of general work experience.Prior warehouse/production/equipment service experience preferred.Forklift certification is a plus.TRAINING REQUIREMENTSContinuing education to maintain certification and a current working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.New Hire OrientationCompany's Inter-Active Safety TrainingAllergen Awareness TrainingDiversity and Harassment TrainingGMP, ISO, and Food Safety/FMSA TrainingPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.Intermittent physical activity including bending, twisting, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing.Exposure to high noise levels and fast-moving equipment.Working hours vary daily and include overtime and occasional weekends.Work involves walking, talking and hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects.
