Senior Manager, Relay Business

This role is part of SoFi’s Relay Business, a key pillar in the Member Group Business Unit focused on delivering on our promise to help over 15million members achieve financial independence. The role SoFi is looking for someone data‑driven and self‑motivated who believes in our mission of helping people achieve their financial ambitions to join our Relay Team. In this role you will lead the strategy, operations and execution across a cross‑functional Relay Team, which is a top driver of growth and engagement for SoFi and a key contributor to our One‑Stop‑Shop strategy. The Relay product includes Personal Financial Management tools, credit score monitoring, spend tracking & budgeting, and more. What you’ll do Support overall vision and strategy for the business area, partnering with leads across functions (e.g., Product, Marketing) and Member BU Leadership. Set and manage overall cross‑functional team operations for Relay to execute against vision and strategy, and achieve OKRs. Manage the P&L for the area in partnership with Finance, in line with area goals and company goals. Develop and provide regular reporting on business performance/analytics and ensure timely communication to the Executive Team and the Board. Support legal and compliance approach for the area, partnering with legal leaders on how to safely execute against our vision. Partner with risk leaders on how to safely execute against our vision, including but not limited to financial, fraud/gaming, and operational risk. Keep a pulse on industry trends and competitor actions to ensure SoFi is winning on the market. Participate in business development and third‑party partnership activities as needed with key stakeholders. What you’ll need 12+ years of experience overall across strategic and general management roles. Demonstrated track record of delivering business results and hitting OKRs. Strong focus on customer experience and insights. Excellent written and oral communication skills. What it takes to succeed Full‑stack operator: ability to both create and execute the business strategy with clear objectives, even with limited or ambiguous direction. Influence and execute cross‑functionally: leading and influencing colleagues over whom you have no direct authority, driving timely tactical decision‑making. Data‑driven storyteller: use data to lead to answers, distilling complex information clearly for people to follow. Bias toward action: recognize the bigger picture but make progress, identify quick wins, and remain scrappy. Manage multiple priorities and wear many hats, self‑prioritizing for maximum impact. Member‑first mindset: think in terms of end‑to‑end member experiences and connect the dots between member benefits and business outcomes. Nice to have MBA or equivalent degree. Experience in financial services or fintech. Experience in consulting, investment banking, growth‑stage startup, or a similarly demanding role. Series7 & 24 licenses. Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
