The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax‑compliant and up‑to‑date on new tax laws. Accountant Job Description Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial operations. We require a candidate with a strong background in accounting principles, extensive experience with the Yardi software platform, and a proven track record in accounts receivable management. Location: Houston, TX Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience. Proficiency in Yardi software (Voyager, Breeze, etc.) is mandatory. Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Responsibilities Manage and process accounts receivable functions, including billing, invoicing, and collections, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Utilize Yardi software daily to record, reconcile, and maintain all property/real estate financial transactions. Conduct complex bank and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are balanced and accurate. Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) and management reports as required. Assist in budget preparation and monitoring to ensure financial targets are met. Oversee payroll processing and all associated tax filings and reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements. Collaborate with the management team and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Qualifications and Skills Deep functional knowledge and hands‑on experience with Yardi property management software. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
