JIB Accountant

Position SummaryA Joint Interest Billing (“JIB”) accountant is needed within the JIB/AR group to support the Accounting Department. This person would report to the Accounting Manager and is located in Downtown Houston, TX. Level and salary commensurate with experience.Essential Job FunctionsAssist with monthly joint interest billing processProcess monthly rebills as requiredApply cash for accounts receivable paymentsResolve owner inquiriesPrepare and record journal entries related to JIB accounts as requiredPrepare account reconciliations, complete JI Audit requests and maintain SOX complianceAssist with special projects or other accounting related assignments as requestedThis job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the position.
