Northern Pipe Products - Senior Accountant

Overview Our client, Northern Pipe Products in Fargo, North Dakota, is seeking a curious, detail-oriented Senior Accountant who wants to go beyond the numbers to directly support operations and drive business insight. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a tight-knit, personable team, gain exposure to an ERP upgrade, and grow into broader financial leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead key aspects of the month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and resolving issues in partnership with accounting, operations, and other teams. Manage complex accruals (including customer rebate programs) by analyzing trends, collaborating with budget owners, and adjusting estimates to ensure accurate payouts. Support budgeting alongside the Controller, contribute to CAPEX planning and fixed asset accounting, and assist with audit readiness and SOX compliance. Oversee inventory accounting, including cycle counts, WIP and raw materials review, and variance analysis. Leverage tools such as Business Central and Power BI to provide meaningful financial insights. Qualifications & Requirements Experience in month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights for operations and leadership. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is preferred.
