Medical Office Clerk

Medical Office ClerkGiaCare Inc., in anticipation of a future government contract award, is currently accepting applications for experienced, civilian Medical Office Clerks to work alongside the federal government in support at McClellan AF Satellite Clinic.RequirementsDegree/Education: High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Board Certification: N/ALicensure: Current, full, active, and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator.Experience: Knowledge and use of medical terminology.Duties• Greets patients/visitors at a clinic front desk; checks in patients for patient encounter.• Answers main office phone line.• Schedules medical appointments and determines patient eligibility for services as needed.• Obtains documentation as requested by healthcare providers.• Performs other administrative and clerical duties in support of the medical care and operational support.• Creates appointment schedules and templates in patient appointment computer system.• Conducts end-of-day process at close of business and resolves any delinquent or pending appointments in computer system.As a GiaCare Inc. employee, you may enjoy the following benefits:Medical Insurance (GiaCare pays for employee's medical benefits)Vision InsuranceDental InsuranceShort-Term Disability InsuranceLife and AD&D InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)401k (Non-matching)Employee Referral Program*MUST BE US CITIZEN
