Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring.
• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of OB/GYN conditions such as reproductive health issues, pregnancy care, menopause management, and gynecological disorders.
• Perform procedures including suturing, Pap smears, colposcopies, and assisting with minor surgical interventions.
• Administer treatments such as botulinum toxin injections for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes and dermal fillers to enhance patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams for complex cases involving critical care, trauma (Level I & II trauma center experience), or hospital medicine settings.
• Utilize EMR systems like MDLAND to document patient encounters accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient education on topics such as family planning, contraception options, menopause management, and lifestyle modifications.
• Assist with clinical research initiatives related to women's health or innovative treatment modalities.
• Support patients in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology practices combined with strong clinical evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Experience performing advanced procedures like sonography, spinal taps, catheterizations, or gynecological surgeries.
• Familiarity with diagnostic coding systems including CPT, ICD-9/10 for accurate billing and record keeping.
• Ability to manage acute pain cases using appropriate interventions and medications; experience with pain management protocols is a plus.
• Skilled in working with diverse populations including pediatrics (pediatric OB/GYN), geriatrics (menopause & memory care), or individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
• Competence in infection control practices and sterile processing techniques during procedures requiring aseptic technique.
• Strong communication skills for patient education on complex topics such as hormone therapy or infectious disease care.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law applicable to occupational health scenarios involving work-related injuries or illnesses.
• Experience with medical imaging modalities relevant to OB/GYN diagnostics like sonography or laboratory testing procedures such as specimen collection/processing.
