Interim Assistant Benefits & Leave Coordinator

HR Works is currently recruiting for an Interim Assistant Benefits & Leave Coordinator based out of our Fairport, NY office. This hybrid opportunity requires a combination of onsite and remote work, with the opportunity for 1–2 remote days per week after successful completion of training. The assignment is expected to run through December 2026 and can be full-time or part-time. Candidates must be available until 7:00 PM ET from October 15 through November 13, with any hours worked between **5:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET performed remotely.

The Assistant Benefits & Leave Coordinator supports employees with benefits and leave-related inquiries and serves as a key point of contact for disability, FMLA, Paid Family Leave, COBRA, benefits eligibility, claim status, and other HR programs. This role combines customer service, administrative support, and case management in a fast-paced HR environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

• Minimum 1-2 years HR related experience or 4-yr college degree in HR-related field
• Experience working independently is strongly preferred 
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Benefits and/or Leave administration and HRIS experience is a plus!
