Clinical Laboratory Technician
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technician for its Johnson City, Tennessee facility to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality and accurate result reporting in a high-volume diagnostic environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
- Execute preventative maintenance and quality control documentation procedures
- Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care delivery
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Chemical Science, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with computer systems and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
