Clinical Laboratory Technician
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technician for their Johnson City, Tennessee facility to perform routine and complex testing procedures, operate laboratory instrumentation, and maintain quality standards in a high-volume diagnostic environment. The position operates a night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) Monday through Friday with alternating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or quality control materials
- Document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- CLIA-compliant science credits (alternative to traditional degree)
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- 3+ months clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass color blindness screening test
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
