Position Summary...

Assists other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment) according to company policies and procedures.

What you'll do...

• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Diagnoses refrigeration and electrical problems by utilizing technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, laptops).
• Troubleshoots and repairs complex ammonia refrigeration system problems, including equipment logic controls and external Input/Output (I/O) devices, where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
• Operates refrigeration system equipment (e.g., compressors, fan units) as required.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration system equipment by following original equipment manufacturer instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Cleans or prevents issues pertaining to hazardous materials as a member of the HazMat team.
• Monitors work areas for safety concerns according to written procedures and takes appropriate action as needed.
• Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents utilizing established procedures.
• Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling adaptability to change or new challenges.
• Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.85 - $39.85* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 4: 2 years' experience with wastewater treatment plants. Option 5: 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance.
