Application Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking pplication Developer position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of the technology solutions team supporting the office of the Treasurer within the Chief Financial Officer organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of components and frameworks in Java, ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices while interacting with technology partners to create scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components and frameworks in Java in line with development standards and best practices
• Interact with development and technology partners to derive scalable solutions
• Perform detailed technical impact analysis and drive strategic solutions
• In line with Agile principles, proactively perform robust testing on developed components
• Provide L3 support on a need basis
• Learn new technologies as directed for future development needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.E) or equivalent experience
• 7-10 years of professional experience
• Hands-on experience with Java, SOAP/Restful services, Design Patterns, multi-threading, and JPA
• Experience with Spring-boot and various spring modules
• Knowledge of any caching technology (Ignite caching preferred)
• Experience with DevOps tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and Ansible Tower
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and Unix shell scripting
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Good analytical, debugging, and design skills
• Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to articulate problems and solutions

Desired skills:

• Experience with OpenShift
• Experience with XL Release
• Strong analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
