Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – Texas

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating shifts with potential weekend requirements; maximum patient ratio of 6:1

• 16-bed unit with potential to flex up to 20 beds based on hospital census needs
• Standard medical/surgical patient population with opportunities for orthopedic and neuro-surgery care
• Meditech EMR system; standard nursing equipment and technology
• Collaborative team environment with charge nurse, RN, and PCA support on each shift
• Potential floating to other medical/surgical units within the facility
• 13-month assignment supporting a busy acute care environment

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of acute medical/surgical experience within the last year (required)
• Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients simultaneously
• Preferred: 2+ years of acute med/surg experience; orthopedic, neuro-surgery, or telemetry background strongly preferred
• Proficiency in standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter management, central line maintenance, medication administration, and EHR documentation
