Job Overview:Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) maintains one of the most complex networks in North America. Freight market volatility, capacity swings, fuel and accessorial inflation, warehouse rate escalation, and an evolving distribution footprint make logistics one of the highest-impact, highest-visibility categories in the enterprise.The Director of Procurement & Category Management – Logistics & Warehousing owns sourcing and category strategy for the full logistics services portfolio, including truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal, dedicated fleet, parcel, ocean and air freight, drayage, final mile, and third-party warehousing and distribution services.This leader moves the function towards strategic leadership and transformation. The role will challenge and reshape the logistics operating and supplier model: bringing procurement leadership to network strategy, 3PL architecture, control tower design, make/buy decisions, and other structural choices that influence cost, service, resiliency, and enterprise agility. The role partners with Logistics Operations, Transportation Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Sustainability to translate requirements into operating strategies that support supply chain performance objectives.Reporting to North America Procurement leadership, this position is hybrid and leads a team of procurement and category management professionals supporting the North America business. Some travel is required for supplier business reviews, network site visits, and bid negotiations.The position is based in Burlington, MA, Montreal, Canada, or Essex, VT office and will have a hybrid schedule.Category scope: Truckload, LTL, intermodal, parcel and small package, ocean and air freight, drayage, final mile, freight brokerage and managed transportation, 3PL and contract warehousing, co-packing logistics, returnable assets and pallets, and transportation technology (TMS/WMS, visibility and freight audit & pay).Essential ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end category strategy for logistics & warehousing spend, building multi-year roadmaps that balance total cost, service, capacity assurance, and risk.Lead annual and in-year bid events, and RFPs across modes; design lane-level award strategies, routing guide construction, and carrier allocation to maximize coverage and rate performance.Build should-cost, cost-to-serve, and index-based rate models; manage fuel surcharge programs, accessorial schedules, detention and demurrage exposure, and contractual escalation mechanisms.Negotiate master transportation, brokerage, dedicated fleet, and warehousing, SLAs, indemnity, insurance, and payment terms agreements in partnership with Legal and key stakeholdersSource and manage 3PL and warehousing including, but not limited to: site selection support, storage and handling rate structures, labor assumptions. This is inclusive of start-up and exit provisions.Develop sourcing strategies in partnership with Logistics Operations and Network Planning that support network design, DC optimization and freight consolidation opportunities.Serve as the partner to North America Supply Chain, influencing decisions across network design, 3PL strategy, control tower capabilities, make/buy alternatives, capacity models, and governance.Lead logistics procurement transformation initiatives. Rethink how KDP buys, governs, and partners with transportation, warehousing, managed transportation, and technology providers.Leverage global JDE/KDP scale, supplier relationships, benchmarks, market intelligence, and cross-region synergies where they create value, while tailoring solutions to North America.Own market intelligence for freight and warehousing, using capacity, rate index, and macroeconomic data to forecast inflation and inform AOP.Mitigate risk across the provider base through capacity contingency planning, due diligence, safety and DOT/FMCSA compliance and business continuity planning.Establish carrier and provider KPIs and governance through scorecards, quarterly business reviews, continuous improvement programs, corrective action plans, and escalation protocols.Develop executive relationships with strategic transportation, warehousing, and logistics providers to drive innovation, capacity assurance, service improvements, and long-term value creation.Support supply chain service, resiliency, and performance objectives through best-in-class vendor management and sourcing strategies.Advance sustainability commitments within the category, including carrier emissions reporting, load optimization, and supplier diversity participation.Strengthen category capability through TMS, freight audit and pay, and analytics tools; improve data quality, spend visibility, and contract compliance across the provider base.Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering capability growth, engagement, accountability, and succession readiness.Champion collaboration across Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Customer Service, and Sustainability to ensure effective execution and sustainable results.Key Performance IndicatorsDelivery of annual productivity, cost avoidance, and value creation against AOP.Total cost performance, including cost per case, cost per mile, cost per hundredweight, and warehousing cost per pallet position.Rate performance versus market indices and bid-award realization against contracted rates.Provider service performance: on-time in-full (OTIF), tender acceptance, primary carrier compliance, claims and damage rates.Control of accessorial, detention, demurrage, and spot market exposure.Capacity assurance, contract coverage, and routing guide depth across critical lanesSavings pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and realization of approved initiatives.Stakeholder satisfaction and business partner effectiveness.Team engagement, talent development, retention, and succession readiness.It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability.Total Rewards:Salary Range: $155,500 - $190,000 USDActual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factorsBenefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage ReimbursementAnnual bonus based on performance and eligibilityRequirements:10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or logistics experience, including leadership responsibility in complex, matrixed organizations.Demonstrated experience sourcing transportation and warehousing services across multiple modes and managing 3PL and contract warehousing partnerships.Proven record leading large-scale freight bid events and negotiating master transportation and warehousing agreements with measurable cost and service improvement.Proven command of freight rate structures, fuel surcharge and accessorial mechanics, index-based pricing, should-cost modeling, and total cost-to-serve analysis.Working knowledge of distribution network design, capacity planning, and the operational trade-offs between service, inventory, and freight cost.Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA, carrier safety and insurance standards.Strong financial, analytical, and commercial acumen with the ability to translate business needs into sourcing strategies with measurable results.Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
