Responsibilities Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, treatments, and IV lines Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record Ensure proper storage and security of drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime, with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions Keeps medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and medication stored properly Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel, as required Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Professional liability insurance Flexible schedule On-the-job training/mentoring as needed Continuing education What we\'re looking for Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately to meet the requirements of this position Experience in long-term geriatric nursing care preferred Why us Our Registered Nurses care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
