Job Summary: Theclinicalsupervisoroverseestheseresearchstaff,ensuringalldepartmentandHighland’spoliciesare being followed, while also managing any personnel issues that arise. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manageday -to-day operationoftheresearchdepartmenttoensureanefficientandeffective department. Supervisestaffmembers,actasback-upwhen necessary. Assessemployee performance. Coordinatedepartment meetings. Overseequalityassuranceforthe department. Assiststaffwhen needed. Job Duties / Responsibilities (may include those of a Clinical Research Coordinator as follows): MustlearnandbeproficientintheuseofthepracticeEMRandpracticemanagement programs. Screenspotentialstudypatientsaccordingtoprotocolinclusion/exclusion criteria. Meetswithstudysubjectsandschedulestheirvisitsaccordingtoprotocol requirements. ReportsalladverseeventstothePrincipalInvestigatorand sponsor. Obtains and completes data for study subjects and/or work with the Research Data Manager to ensure subject data is collected according to the study. Completescasereportsandmaintainsrecordsofeachstudysubjectand/orworkwiththeResearchData Manager to ensure data is entered into the electronic data capture (EDC) system according to study. WillmeetwithClinicalResearchAssociatesandsponsor representatives. WorkswithInvestigators,mid-levelproviders,nurses,andotherClinicalResearchCoordinatorsto identify/document toxicity, adverse events, etc. Limitedtravelmayberequiredforinvestigatormeetings,educationalopportunities,and between Fayetteville, Springdale, and Rogers clinics. Required Skills/Abilities: Abilitytodevelopandmaintainpositiveworkingrelationshipswithresearchstaffandotherteammembers throughout the Highlands organization. Strongorganizational skills. In-depthoncologyand/orclinicalresearch knowledge. Strongknowledgeofmedical terminology. Abletomulti-task,performmanydifferenttasksthroughoutthe day. Exhibits accountability and dependability. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Certifications/Licenses/Education/or Experience in a related field: PhlebotomyandECGexperiencepreferred,butnot necessary. 4–6yearsofrelatedmanagementexperience preferred. Aproventrackrecordofworkingeffectivelywithstaffand physicians. Afterachievingtwoyearsofresearchexperience,willtestandpassthecertificationforCertifiedClinical Research Professional (CCRP). Physical Requirements: Sitting for prolonged periods of time at a desk. Computer use that requires visual acuity, typing, use of mouse/keyboard, and staring at a screen for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifting objects of up to 25 pounds such as files, office supplies, assisting patients when needed, etc. Walking and standing for continuous periods around the office or clinic as needed. Fine motor skills for tasks like typing, writing, handling small objects or equipment and materials.
