Respiratory Therapist PRN

Position Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II delivers advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings. They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring safety, quality, and evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include patient and family education, staff mentorship, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. The role involves performing invasive and non-invasive procedures, interpreting diagnostic data, and maintaining a safe environment. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional patient care through assessments, therapy, and education Manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases Collaborate with healthcare team to plan and coordinate patient treatmentMentor new staff, students, and peers, promoting a supportive learning environment Ensure safety standards, accurate documentation, and compliance with policies Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Qualifications & Skills Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Provident Behavioral Health
