IMS System Programmer — Reliability, Recovery & Automation
Veriipro
Strong experience with IMS DB/TM, IMS Connect, ODBM, IMS Tools, HALDB utilities. Proficient in SMP/E, IMS upgrades, APAR/PTF maintenance. Knowledge of z/OS, DB2, CICS, MQ, and subsystem compatibility. Expertise in IMS recovery, logging, RECON, catalog management. Skilled in JCL, REXX, CLIST, automation, and performance tools (OMEGAMON, Mainview, RMF). Understanding of DBD/PSB/ACBGEN and DBA support processes. Familiarity with DFSMS, VSAM, API enablement (IMS Connect, JDBC/ODBM, REST). Install, maintain, and upgrade IMS subsystems and related products. Monitor and tune IMS performance; conduct capacity planning. Provide Level 3 support for IMS issues, abends, and recovery problems. Support DBA teams with database definition, catalog/RECON management, and utilities. Develop automation scripts and integrate IMS with monitoring, scheduling, and middleware. Participate in disaster recovery planning and ensure compliance with audit standards. Maintain documentation and collaborate with application, DBA, and infrastructure teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr Veriipro
