Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview Registered Nurse – ER, Helena, MT. Start date 08/30/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with a guaranteed 36 hours per week on a rotating 2x3 shift. Weekly pay range: $2,214 to $2,352. This ER role supports an acute care, emergency department setting with varied schedules (most likely nights or mids) and required holiday and weekend coverage. Applicants should reside within a 200-mile radius of the assignment location. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,214–$2,352 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating 2x3 shifts (nights/mids) Start date: 08/30/2026 Setting: Emergency department in an acute care environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care in the ER, including initial triage, rapid assessment, continuous monitoring, and timely intervention. Administer medications, establish and maintain IV access, perform urgent procedures, and support resuscitation as needed. Document patient care in Epic EMR with accurate, complete, and compliant charting; coordinate with physicians, nurses, and the broader ED team. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, communicate with patients and families, and help manage patient flow and ED throughput. May serve as charge nurse when assigned; support preceptors and assist with onboarding of new staff. Participate in shift-to-shift handoffs, patient safety initiatives, and adherence to clinical protocols and trauma standards.
