You will adjust your approach to their needs by communicating clearly, focusing on the accuracy of the details of their medical records. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and patient focus.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:15AM to 4:15PMRoles and ResponsibilitiesOrganizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including generating chart numbers, filing, and pulling charts.Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry, directs caller to appropriate personnel, or initiates a triage slip for response by medical personnel.Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler.Greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors.Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate.Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices.Collects payment from patients and reconciles daily cash reportsOther duties as assigned.Experience Requirements1-year experience in a fast-paced environment focusing on patient care OR customer serviceHealthcare experience preferredProficient in MS Word, Outlook, and ExcelData entry and medical office software knowledge preferred.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
