Job DescriptionThe Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement Sr Mgr is responsible for driving operational excellence, cultural transformation, and sustainable performance improvements across the BD Pharma El Paso site. This role leads the deployment of the BD Excellence framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, business objectives, and continuous improvement principlesJob Responsibilities:(Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Operational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementLead the implementation and sustainability of BD Excellence (BD Production System) across the site.Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance.Identify and eliminate process waste through structured problem-solving and root cause analysis (RCA).Ensure standard work, visual management, and tier management systems are fully embedded.Drive growth through a multi-year pipeline of Cost to Win (CTW) savings initiatives, targeting +8% productivity improvement.Regulatory CompliancePartner with Quality and Operations to support FDA efforts and ensure audit readinessDrive adherence to GMP, FDA, and internal compliance standardsSupport the development and execution of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)Monitor compliance metrics and ensure timely escalation and resolution of risksLeadership & Culture TransformationChampion a culture of accountability, ownership, and proactive behaviors across all levelsCoach and develop leaders on BD Excellence principles and behaviorsSupport leadership capability building aligned with site transformation goalsReinforce disciplined execution and performance management practicesDeliver tangible site transformation through the implementation of Lean workplace practices and optimized end-to-end factory flow.Strengthen Lean capabilities across the plant through structured Kaizen events and Lean Ambassador certification programs.Strategic ExecutionTranslate site strategy into actionable initiatives with clear KPIs and milestonesTrack and report progress of key initiatives to site leadership and executivesEnsure alignment between people strategy, operational goals, and business prioritiesPartner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Operations, HR, Engineering) to drive resultsOther duties as required to support the needs of the business. Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)8+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvementExperience in Pharma or Medical Device industry strongly preferredKnowledge and Skills:Basic or simple knowledge: Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologiesSolid understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance requirementsDemonstrated ability to lead cultural and organizational transformationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredWhy Join Us?To find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
